It establishes long futures contracts to track changes in the Deutsche Bank Long USD Currency Portfolio Index-Excess Return, which measures the performance of the United States dollar against six major world currencies: the Euro, Japanese Yen, British Pound, Canadian Dollar, Swedish Krona, and Swiss Franc. The fund holds United States Treasury obligations, money market mutual funds, and short-term Treasury exchange-traded funds for collateral, margin, and cash management. Its primary customers are authorized participants, which are eligible financial institutions permitted to purchase and redeem shares in large blocks called creation units.
