Acceptance of terms

By accessing StockData at stockdatahq.com, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms of Use. These terms apply to all visitors and registered account holders who use our data, charts, screens, and research library. Please stop using the website immediately if you do not agree.

The service and informational purpose

StockData publishes financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow) for thousands of companies listed on the NYSE, Nasdaq, and OTC markets, along with key metrics, valuation multiples, a fair value estimate, the StockData Score, company operating KPIs, dividends, an interactive price chart, and a research library of earnings releases and presentations. It also provides shareholder data (13F institutions, mutual funds and ETFs, and insiders), Form 4 insider trades, superinvestor portfolios from 13F filings, ETF holdings from SEC N-PORT reports, and rule-based investment idea screens backtested with point-in-time data. All content on StockData is for informational purposes only.

StockData does not provide investment, tax, or legal advice, is not a broker or registered investment adviser, and does not create an adviser or fiduciary relationship with any user. Nothing on the site, including fair value estimates, scores, or screens, is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions.

Data accuracy and delays

Data on StockData comes from SEC EDGAR (XBRL financial data in Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 20-F, and 40-F; 8-K earnings releases; Forms 3, 4, 5, and 144; 13F; 13D/G; and N-PORT), daily closing prices from public market data sources, and market series from FRED and Cboe. Financial figures are normalized by StockData's software, fourth quarters are derived from annual reports, and per-share data is adjusted for splits. Some company descriptions and KPI extractions are produced with AI models and checked against the filings.

All information is provided as is, can contain errors, and may be delayed, with stock prices reflecting end-of-day figures rather than real-time data. Although financial figures link to the filings they came from, normalized figures, AI-assisted text, and source filings can still contain mistakes. Always verify data directly with original SEC filings before relying on it.

Accounts and security

StockData offers optional free accounts with a display name, an email address, and a password, email verification, and optional two-factor authentication (TOTP), with passwords stored hashed. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and all activity under your account. Sessions use a first-party cookie with the prefix sd, and display preferences are saved in your browser's local storage. See the Privacy Policy for details. You can delete your account yourself from the account page, which deletes your account data.

Transactional emails for verification and password resets are sent through Cloudflare Email Service or Resend. The site is served through Cloudflare for CDN and security and hosted on a server in the European Union, where server logs may record IP addresses and user agents for security. StockData does not sell user data and has no third-party analytics or advertising tracking at present.

Acceptable use

You must use StockData only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not impair the website. You may not conduct automated scraping that burdens the service, resell bulk data, or redistribute our datasets without authorization. You also must not attempt to break website security, bypass authentication, or interfere with our servers.

Intellectual property

Underlying SEC filings and public market series remain public records or the property of their respective sources. However, StockData's compilation, software normalization, fair value estimates, the StockData Score, screens, text, and website design belong to StockData. You may use the site for personal reference, but you may not reproduce, republish, or commercially exploit StockData's compilation, normalization, scores, text, or design without permission.

Third-party links

StockData links directly from financial numbers to SEC EDGAR filings and references external sources such as FRED and Cboe. These links are provided only for user convenience and source verification. StockData does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content or availability.

Disclaimer of warranties

StockData and all content on the website are provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, StockData disclaims all express and implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StockData and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use the website. This limitation covers any losses from reliance on financial statements, metrics, scores, estimates, screens, or filing links. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it.

Termination

StockData may suspend or terminate your access or account at any time if you violate these Terms of Use or create a security risk. You may stop using the site at any time and delete your account from the account page. Intellectual property rights, warranty disclaimers, and liability limitations survive termination.

Changes to these terms

StockData may modify these Terms of Use at any time to reflect updates to the service. Revised terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
