Methodology and excluded metrics
- Latest reported company quarter: Q3 2026 (ended August 28, 2026; Form 10-Q and Form 8-K filed September 10, 2026); latest completed fiscal year: FY2025 (ended November 28, 2025; Form 10-K filed January 15, 2026).
- In Q1 FY2026, Adobe reorganized from three operating segments (Digital Media, Digital Experience, Publishing & Advertising) into a single operating segment and shifted its headline recurring revenue metric from Digital Media ARR to Total Adobe ARR ($27.50B at Q3 FY2026) and Customer Group Subscription Revenue (Creative & Marketing Professionals and Business Professionals & Consumers). Both the current Customer Group / Total ARR series and the 10-year historical Digital Media / Creative / Document Cloud / Digital Experience series (FY2015–FY2025, marked legacy) are preserved.
- Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO, $22.52B at Q3 FY2026 with 67% current cRPO), contract balances, unconditional purchase obligations ($5.69B at FY2025), operating lease schedules, PP&E by category, purchased intangibles amortization schedules, RSU/Performance Share/ESPP activity, and Research & Development expense (missing from the Postgres financial_values table) are extracted directly from SEC XBRL filings.
- On April 28, 2026 (Q2 FY2026), Adobe completed the acquisition of Semrush Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: SEMR, CIK 0001831840) for ~$1.9B in cash, which contributed ~$480M to Total Adobe ARR and ~$40M to subscription revenue in Q2 FY2026. Group 6 presents Semrush's self-reported pre-acquisition SEC filings (FY2019–FY2025 & Q1 2020–Q4 2025: ARR, ARR per paying customer, NRR %, Paying Customers, Enterprise ARR, and standalone GAAP financials).
- No parent-only financial statements exist under U.S. GAAP (Form 10-K Item 15 omits Schedule I), so no Consolidated − Parent subtraction is performed.
- Monthly columns include 110 months of Part II Item 2 share repurchases (2015-09 → 2026-08) and U.S. BLS / Census / FRED software & e-commerce indicators through September 2026 (1 month ahead of Adobe's Q3 FY2026). Annual columns include the 2026 U.S. Holiday Online Spend Forecast ($275.1B, +6.8% YoY) published by Adobe Analytics on September 24, 2026.
- All figures are strictly as reported (with verbatim quotes on hover for text-extracted metrics; bound figures such as 'over 1B MAU', 'over 900M Acrobat+Express MAU', and 'over 100M Creative freemium MAU in Q3 FY26' are excluded). The only arithmetic shown is period splitting (Q4 = full year − nine months; quarterly cash flow = YTD − prior YTD), displayed in italic with the formula.
