Methodology and excluded metrics
- Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras (NYSE: PBR / PBR.A; B3: PETR3 / PETR4) reports under IFRS in U.S. dollars (US$) on a calendar fiscal year. Its latest operational quarter is 3Q26 (ended September 30, 2026, Form 6-K Production & Sales Report filed October 29, 2026), its latest financial quarter is 2Q26 (ended June 30, 2026, Form 6-K Financial Performance USD & Interim FS), and its latest completed annual filing is FY2025 (Form 20-F filed April 9, 2026; Form SD filed September 28, 2026). The 2026 annual column holds official FY2026 targets from the Business Plan 2026–2030.
- Monthly regulatory figures come directly from Brazil's National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP): Boletim Mensal da Produção de Petróleo e Gás Natural through August 2026 (Petrobras operated production, Petrobras consortium equity share, and 21 Pre-salt fields including Búzios, Mero, and Tupi) and ANP Open Data refinery CSVs through September 2026 across all 10 wholly-owned Petrobras refineries.
- Because Petrobras only attaches Inline XBRL to annual Form 20-F and mid-year H1 Form 6-K/A filings, PostgreSQL DB lacks all Q1 and Q3 quarterly figures since 2020. Group 12 preserves 100% of PostgreSQL DB annual and Q2/Q4 XBRL values while filling missing Q1/Q3 periods from Form 6-K Financial Performance USD.
- Consolidated − standalone parent subtraction is not applicable: Petrobras's SEC USD filings present consolidated IFRS statements only, while Brazilian CVM parent-only statements are in BRL and aggregate dozens of overseas trading/financing vehicles (PIBBV, PGT, PGF) with logistics/biofuel subsidiaries and large intercompany eliminations. Instead, wholly-owned subsidiaries Transpetro and PBio and separately NYSE-listed petrochemical associate Braskem S.A. (BAK) are presented directly from their own asset and Form 20-F disclosures in Group 8.
- Every value is an exact published figure or an authorized cumulative period split (YTD − prior YTD / FY − 9M), with zero custom ratios or multi-metric formulas. Prose-extracted figures carry verified verbatim quotes.
